Job Description:
The candidate will join the Communications Review Group within Global Markets Business Controls & Supervision Team, owning and supporting integral aspects of the E-Communications Surveillance Program . Candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment with primary responsibilities for:

  • Developing and maintaining lexicon-based surveillances to address risks identified from various areas within the bank and external events
  • Evaluating and testing e-communication surveillances to increase efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Owning the governance structure over the lexicon program
  • Developing, producing, and distributing senior management reporting related to the program
  • Collaborating with Business Controls Officers, Enterprise Areas of Coverage partners and control functions (e.g., Compliance, Technology, Operations, Audit, etc.) to analyze current processes/procedures, identify potential improvements, develop strategies to implement change, and oversee implementation related to the lexicon library
  • Executing multiple complexinitiatives many of which may require robust solutions using technology

Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in e-communications surveillance development and testing
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates focused desire to drive improvements versus relying on "status quo"
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented with strong desire to succeed
  • Must be able to deliver results with limited direction and supervision
  • Must be detail oriented (e.g. ability to identify anomalies within large sets of data and track multiple action items in detail)
  • Must be proficient in data aggregation, integration, analysis, and reporting
  • Must be able to work with technical teams and translate technical concepts to business audiences
  • Must be able to work well in collaborative team environment, but also independently
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple competing, high priority projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to simplify complex information into messages targeted to various levels of leadership
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Excellent project/program management skills

Desired Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, including ability to independently build new dashboards and data reports
  • Knowledge of Global Markets risk, controls, policies, procedures and applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Technical background, or experience interfacing with technical teams
  • Data and Trend Analysis
  • Fluency in (a) foreign language
