We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst II to join our Atlanta team. The ideal candidate will analyze complex datasets, generate insightful reports, and assist in developing data-driven solutions to business challenges. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational data analysis skills while gaining exposure to advanced data science techniques such as predictive modeling and machine learning.
Who You Are
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, OneStream or similar platforms.
- Oversee the lifecycle of reports & dashboards, ensuring proper version control and effective source code management during both development and maintenance phases
- Ownership of recurring and ad-hoc data analysis tasks and processes.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of data pipelines, workflows, and queries.
- Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could skew analytical results.
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of data processes, models, and insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide actionable recommendations.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data, ensuring that information is accurately and effectively managed.
What You'll Bring
Skills and Requirements:
- BS/BA in and 2-3 years’ experience in a related field, with a focus on data analysis. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 1-2 years’ experience; or 6+ years’ experience in a related field and no degree.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, etc
- Proficiency in visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) with experience writing and optimizing formulas (e.g. VizQL, DAX).
- Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring clear communication and alignment between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively understand complex issues by asking insightful questions and seeking clarity to ensure accurate and effective solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Operate with ownership, be a self-starter, and have strong attention to detail.
- Must live within a commutable distance to the office
Preferred:
- Basic programming skills in Python or R, including familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, etc.
