Job Summary
The Planogram Automation Associate Manager is the key subject matter expert for planogram automation. This role is responsible for creating and delivering training, documentation, and process development that drive best practices for a team of space planning analysts who utilize planogram automation tools. Through the use of Planogram Generator, the role aims to streamline the planogram creation process, reduce manual effort, minimize build errors, and improve planogram performance.

This position will work cross-functionally with merchandising teams, category managers, store operations, and space planning to ensure alignment between planograms and business objectives. The Associate Manager will be an expert in Blue Yonder software, its functionality, and Walgreens' internal systems and processes.

Additionally, the Associate Manager will be responsible for developing analysts to handle the high-volume production of optimized planograms, ensuring that the end results deliver value to the customer. The goal is to improve the efficiency and quality of planogram creation and help meet the strategic goals of the organization.
Job Responsibilities

  • Leads day-to-day activities of a group of team members, ensuring timely completion and strategic soundness of decisions. May assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work, direct efforts and provide technical guidance on more complex issues. May provide input into hiring, firing, and performance reviews.
  • Establishes objectives and communication policies, provides constructive discipline, and builds employee morale.
  • Presents deliverables and post-analyses specific to area of responsibility to key internal clients and executive management.
  • Plays a key role in creating and performing analysis for strategic project-based initiatives.
  • May lead client meetings to understand business needs and objectives. Communicates and partners cross- functionally to understand, recommend and implement strategies.
  • Develops and delivers training and support for new processes for area of expertise.
  • Makes tactical recommendations to key stakeholders based on historical data and/or current trends.
  • Reviews and validates recommendations for area of expertise. Ensures analysis and recommendations align with strategy.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. $86400 - $138200 / Salaried

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years' experience in one or more of the following: retail, procurement/purchasing, merchandising, vendor relations, or retail marketing OR a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in two or more of the following: retail, procurement/purchasing, merchandising, vendor relations, or retail marketing.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Blue Yonder software & Planogram Generator
  • Master's degree OR MBA
  • At least 1 year experience of cross functional team leadership.
  • 4 years of experience in one or more of the following: retail, procurement/purchasing, merchandising, automation capabilities, vendor relations, or retail marketing.
