The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

This position may have some in-office requirements based on candidate location.

The US Retail Markets (USRM) Product Management Personal Lines Auto Underwriting Effectiveness team is seeking a talented, motivated individual to join our group. This role focuses on creating robust end to end analytical processes to facilitate a best in class underwriting experience. This role will be primarily technical, but technical skills paired with strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills will produce the greatest success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a steward for our carefully curated proprietary datasets that feed our analytic tools and provide self service capabilities to other parts of the org.
• Create and manage automated reporting within our PowerBI app.
• Partner with other members of the Underwriting Effectiveness department to adjust state quote flow control rates & underlying models to achieve state, brand, and channel-level profit & growth objectives.
• Query data using Snowflake/Python to perform complex analyses to evaluate Underwriting performance at a granular level, proactively recommending and executing solutions that drive profitable growth.
• Lead multiple projects of varying complexity and present updates to Auto Product leadership and cross functional teams.
• Support the development of custom Underwriting strategy and model builds for non-franchise states.

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field Minimum 4 year's relevant work experience, typically 6 years.
• Master's degree beneficial. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, Python).
• Must have strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects preferred.
