Pricing Senior Manager - Military Veterans

The Pricing Senior Manager plays a critical role by analyzing, developing and implementing pricing, packaging and monetization strategies for Cox Automotive.  This individual is curious, passionate and a problem solver. 

The Pricing Senior Manager is responsible for developing pricing strategies that can be implemented and maintained given market, technical, and/or process constraints. This position requires extracting relevant insights from raw data and conveying compelling narratives to executive audiences. 

In addition, this role is proactive in building strong relationships with boundary partners in Product, Sales, and Business Unit Leaders to align pricing thought leadership, strategy, and pricing management to drive revenue and EBITDA benefits to Cox Automotive.

What You’ll Do

  • Analytical Thinking:  Demonstrate advanced analytical skills to diagnose organizational challenges, identify root causes, and propose viable solutions. Employ logic and intuition to interpret data, define the issue and recommend solutions. Analyze performance data to identify opportunities and articulate trends.
  • Business Acumen: Provide strong knowledge and understanding of the business, products, marketplace dynamics, sales team structure, and tools/technology that enable the business to meet its revenue and profitability objectives.  Broadly understand micro and macro market trends, competitive insights and industry trends to enhance organizational performance.
  • Statistical Analysis and Technical Skill: Knowledge and ability to use tools (Excel, Snowflake, Power BI) to perform statistical analysis and measurement.  Use statistical concepts such as variance, standard deviation and correlation to analyze, interpret and explain factors related to business operations and performance.  Determine and recommend specific actions the business should take around pricing, packaging and overall monetization. 
  • Consulting: Establish and maintain positive working relationships across functional groups in a matrixed organization. Partner with leaders in Sales, Finance, Product, Business Operations, Sales Ops and Marketing to develop executable pricing strategies aligned to the business unit’s go-to-market strategy.  Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate communication tools.

Who You Are/Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 8 years of experience in related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years of experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field with no degree.
  • Requires outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity who can help connect dots
  • Comfort challenging, in a respectful manner, positions or perspectives using both analysis and judgement
  • Ability to influence without authority across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adapt strategy and approach based on changing business conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to convert strategy into strong business plans
  • Excellent soft skills such as: interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Demonstrated expertise querying (extracting, manipulating and analyzing) data from cloud or relational data bases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure or similar)
  • Familiarity and comfort with data analytics (SAS, SPSS, R, Python, Alteryx, Trifecta or similar) and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI or similar)
  • Travel: 25%

Preferred:

  • Experience with digital advertising and/or marketplace
  • Automotive Industry experience
  • Knowledge of Automotive industry trends, customer behaviors, and enabling technological
