Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
As the Head of Business Architecture, you will hold a strategic leadership position responsible for the management and evolution of the business architecture capability across Global Risk Solutions (GRS). Collaborates with Operations, Strategy, Technology, Business Partners, Senior Leadership, and their respective teams to set direction for capability delivery, interaction model, and business value creation. Plays a crucial role in enabling business transformation and strategic execution, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving innovation by leveraging deep understanding of the organization's business capability model, technology landscape, and industry trends.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution and success of the GRS forward looking business capability map based on the strategic priorities of the organization. Partners with Leadership Team (LT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to lead the development of Business Capability gap and maturity assessment across GRS’s L2 business.
- In partnership with GRS Strategy office, leverages outside in thinking to define capabilities needed to win in the market.
- Helps to influence technology and non-technology investment decisions based on alignment to capability gaps.
- Models and promotes a business capability lens/mindset across Solutions Delivery and Technology teams in order to enable the business and IT to better strategize, prioritize and develop solutions to meet business needs and advance the GRS Strategy.
- Influence leaders on optimization potentials, such as leveraging shared capabilities between processes and business units.
- Advocates to simplify our business environment by creating compelling arguments to prioritize efforts that span across functions via reuse identification and business process optimization.
- Leads a team and has direct managerial responsibilities for high level specialized staff.
- Functional Expertise: Deep industry expertise in P&C insurers
- Several years of experience in designing and developing E2E business processes frameworks and required IT capabilities
- Track record in optimizing operational costs in a P&C context
- Technical Experience: Experience in value stream mapping, digital customer journey mapping, among other process tools
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Certifications: Six Sigma Master Black Belt, ISO certification or proven comparable experience
- Leadership: Exceptional ability to communicate and mediate between IT and business, and to shape shared processes, architectures, and structures
- Demonstrates the ability to lead people with the aim of identifying structural problems within organizations and minimizing functional interdependencies and silo driven redundancies
