Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to safely load, unload, and transport company equipment efficiently. When not driving, the individual will assist with warehouse and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Operate pick-up trucks, flatbeds, and truck tractors in compliance with BrandSafway’s policies, local, state, and federal regulations (US DOT/FMCSA).

+ Maintain accurate logs, including motor vehicle inspections, loading/unloading, and driving records.

+ Safely transport company equipment to job sites, warehouses, and yards in a timely manner.

+ Perform routine inspections of vehicles and cargo securement, reporting any safety or mechanical issues.

+ Communicate effectively with co-workers, operations teams, and customers to ensure timely deliveries.

+ Ensure that the vehicle is equipped with necessary safety gear and valid documents.

+ Assist with moving and organizing equipment in the warehouse and yard.

+ Operate forklifts, if applicable, and maintain a clean, organized truck.

+ Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

+ Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license;

+ Ability to acquire a Federal DOT Medical Certificate.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ 1-3 years of driving experience, including successful completion of a road test.

+ Experience in the construction industry and with Moffett equipment is preferred.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.

+ Basic math skills for tracking inventory on the truck.

+ Ability to maintain a professional image and clean driving record.

+ Forklift certification, if applicable.

+ English language proficiency sufficient to understand traffic signs and reports.

+ If applicable, must meet return-to-duty requirements for any prior drug or alcohol tests.

Physical Demands:

+ Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods.

+ Regularly lift up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.

+ Climb trucks, trailers, and racks to secure and move equipment.

+ Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and color vision.

Work Environment:

+ Exposure to various weather conditions, including inclement weather.

+ Moderate to loud noise levels in the warehouse/yard.

+ Exposure to airborne particles (dust and debris) in the warehouse or on job sites.

Protective Clothing Required:

+ Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, and other protective clothing as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

+ Pay: From $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
