Job Summary
Responsible for leading the strategy, development, deployment, and delivery of field communications plans and programs for executives, operations leadership and other key leaders. Ensures messaging and timing alignment with all communication from Company and Pharmacy and Retail Operations leadership. Provides high levels of accountability and effective stake-holder management by regularly communicating and partnering with operations leadership and other senior leaders.
Job Responsibilities
- Directs the creation of, or creates, field communication plans, programs, and messaging for Pharmacy and Retail Operations executive leaders and Retail Hub leaders.
- Directs the creation of, or creates, field communications for Pharmacy and Retail Operations executive leaders and Retail Hub leaders for all topics related to operations so as to build a positive image and support our brand.
- Serves as the lead communicator to Pharmacy and Retail Operations executive leaders and their key leaders.
- Leads the development of, or develops, communications plans and messages for major core and non-core Retail Hub initiatives and programs. Partners closely with the field communications team to ensure successful communications execution for information that requires companywide distribution. Ensures the effective distribution of field and store communication.
- Partners with the Pharmacy and Retail Operations leadership in the selection, prioritization and timing of communication of programs, initiatives, policies and procedures to the field leaders and stores. Leads the development, deployment, and delivery of all procedural and policy communications.
- Partners with the Corporate Communications team to ensure alignment of content messaging and timing with communication from Company and Pharmacy and Retail Operations leadership.
- Develops and drives plans to deliver communications, including preparation of division meetings, the development of feedback mechanisms and metrics development in order to gage impact of delivery methods and how delivery was received by the audience. Develops action plans to improve operational communication strategy for future based upon previous results and respond to major themes.
- Designs, builds and maintains the calendar and schedule for deployment of communications to the stores.
- Builds a high-performing field communications team to enhance the department's reputation as a partner to the Pharmacy and Retail Operations executive leaders and Retail Hub leaders. Assesses and aligns department competencies and staff development with business goals. Responsible for department morale and cross-department collaboration and problem-solving.
- Maintains a series of metrics on the function's performance against best practice standards; monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of efforts. Manages department performance against budget.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of retail or pharmacy operations experience (corporate or field) or a High School diploma/GED and at least 9 years of corporate or field retail or pharmacy operations experience (corporate or field).
- Experience assessing and measuring the impact and effectiveness of communications plans and tools.
- At least 3 years of experience presenting and reporting to appropriate stakeholders, executives and senior management
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization, such as peers, internal/external stakeholders, business partners, senior level managers, executives.
- Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
- Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: changing picture styles, customizing animation and/or setting automatic slide timings).
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up 10% of the time for business purposes (domestically and internationally).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA
- Experience developing and deploying communications materials related to operational and/or policy/procedural changes.
- Experience building communications plans to support business units and business goals.
Salary Range$136000 - $231300 / Salaried
