Preassembly Supervisor 3rd Shift - Military Veterans

at PPG Industries, Inc.

As a Preassembly Supervisor 3rd Shift, you will oversee the preassembly team in daily efforts including receive, inventory, pack, load and ship products and sundry items, foreign and domestic, to meet customer requirements. You will report to the Material Management Analyst, Lead in Oak Creek, WI.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, organized and cost-effective distribution operation.
  • Coordinate the efforts of warehouse personnel and maximize the use of available equipment on shift.
  • Manage daily activities of production area to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
  • Identify problems related to production process and provide production reports to assist process improvement.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education, experience, and skill.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
  • Chemical Manufacturing or Coating experience is highly desirable
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift
