Quality Specialist - Military Veterans

PPG Aerospace is seeking a Quality Specialist, at our Mojave, CA location! You will ensure that products manufactured at this facility meet all customer requirements. You will report directly to our Quality Compliance Supervisor. Key Responsibilities

• Help develop and maintain internal quality procedures and implementing QA/Control plans as per customer and company requirements
• Examine customer quality and material specifications, ensuring alignment with their quality system requirements
• Manage Process Control Documents (PCD) and participate in an unbiased internal audit program to ensure compliance with quality procedures across all operations
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols while contributing to process enhancements to ensure regulatory compliance
• Digital literacy in ERP System (QAD) and Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Experience in inspection, test, and product evaluation, coupled with a strong background in customer service excellence

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of prior quality experience or related education in a manufacturing environment required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field such as Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Salary Range: $67,000 to $73,000 Depending on experience
