Quality Engineer - Military Veterans

Come aboard our team at PPG Aerospace in Mojave, CA, where you can contribute as a Quality Engineer! You'll be an important link between manufacturing and labs, and your role will help ensure the quality of our aerospace products. We are looking for candidates who have proficiency in chemistry, manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously improve product quality and manufacturing processes, troubleshoot production batches of coatings and sealants, and conduct root cause analysis and corrective action implementation


• Provide training on manufacturing related topics, communicate with internal and external customers, and support new product qualifications and multiple projects


• Apply continuous improvement methodologies, manage customer complaints, and monitor quality performance data


• Conduct internal audits, support team goals, and participate in special projects


• Be a point of contact for addressing and resolving complex quality concerns


• Oversee the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary adjustments and improvements


• Be the subject matter expert in training methodologies and quality management systems


• Offer guidance to managers and supervisors in addressing training needs and resolving quality issues.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in Quality and familiarity with coatings and/or manufacturing required


• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required


• Aerospace experience strongly preferred


• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)


• Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English


• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Salary Range:  $70,000 to $80,000 Depending on Experience
