Global Export Compliance Manager, Aerospace - Military Veterans

As a Global Export Compliance Manager – Aerospace, you will manage the PPG corporate export compliance program, policies, and procedures (collectively CEC Program) within PPG' Aerospace Strategic Business Unit to ensure compliance with the U.S. export control and sanction laws and regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Anti-Boycott Laws, the Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations and the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR). You will also liaise with regional Export compliance functions on foreign export regulations.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a full understanding of all PPG Export Compliance Procedures, and SOPs that support the PPG Corporate Export Compliance (CEC) Program.

  • Drive implementation of the CEC Program and direct the implementation of Aerospace-specific processes within the Aerospace SBU, including all business areas and platforms, and all new Aerospace acquisitions.

  • Train the Aerospace Export Compliance Team and all appropriate Aerospace business partners on the PPG CEC Program's requirements which include:

    • Denied country, denied party and end use screening

    • Export jurisdiction and classification

    • Export authorization determination, application and implementation

    • Technology access control

    • Electronic Export Information reporting



  • Direct, guide and oversee the Aerospace Export Compliance Team as it works with the business functions to drive the incorporation of required compliance activities into business processes and procedures and resolve export transactions matters in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Review existing export compliance policies and procedures annually and structure and lead Aerospace export compliance self-assessments to identify opportunities for process improvements. Track timely solutions to enhance the efficiency of the export control requirements.

  • Manage and complete Aerospace export and other export compliance-related projects as assigned by Leadership, Legal, Corporate Export Compliance Team (ECT), or Corporate Compliance.

  • Timely report any potential or suspected export control violations or concerns to Leadership and the ECT. Support activities needed to investigate suspected violations; ensure accuracy of all Aerospace export compliance disclosures to the government; help develop remedial and corrective actions; track and lead the completion of these actions by the established due date(s); monitor the effectiveness of the remedial and corrective actions and coordinate any needed adjustments with the ECT and Legal Counsel.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in leading and managing Export Compliance programs and diverse/remote organizations.

  • Experience leading international export compliance programs.

  • Ability to develop and enhance a comprehensive export compliance strategy and drive its implementation to a successful and timely conclusion.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills are imperative as well as demonstrated computer and presentation skills.

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and people management skills in a dynamic work environment.

  • Travel of up to 35% may be required.

  • Must be a U.S. person given the potential for handling export controlled related issues/projects.

Additional Details:


  • You will work onsite at a PPG facility #LI-Onsite.

  • You will report to the Strategic Planning Director.

  • You will be eligible for health benefits, paid vacation and holidays, 401K, and much more.

  • Base salary range starting $155,000 - 175,000, plus annual bonus.
