Envision, Inc.

Who We Are

Envision is an integrated community of people who are blind, low-vision and typically-sighted. We find joy and inspiration in our work every day, and firmly believe that people who are blind or visually impaired deserve a voice.

What started as a small vocational workshop in Wichita in 1933 is now one of the most trusted resources for people who are blind or visually impaired, as well as for the professionals and caretakers who serve them.

It all began with a simple broom made in our Wichita shop. This grew into a partnership with the Lions Clubs across the nation and its Caravan of Brooms, a driving force in keeping our shop afloat through lean, post-war years. Our ability to embrace change and defy expectations with quality, new products let us grow into janitorial products.

We continue to focus on improving the quality of life for those who are blind or visually impaired by launching our Envision Research Institute. Our research focuses on national studies aimed at improving the lives of those who are visually impaired through working toward practical applications.

We continue to serve as a hub for crucial services, education and social interaction for people who are blind or visually impaired, as well as for their caretakers and the professionals who serve them. With the resources, the knowledge and the heart to keep striving forward, we’re here to help those we serve defy expectations.
