WIC Clinic Coordinator - Military Veterans

We are seeking a WIC Clinic Coordinator .
The purpose of the WIC Clinic Coordinator position is,
- To obtain socio-economic, health, and dietary information and identify problems that would determine a client's eligibility for the federally funded Supplemental Nutritional Program (WIC)
- To manage the central WIC office by providing clerical and administrative support to 15 sites, clinic staff, operations manager, and program coordinator.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Answers multi-line telephone system and screen callers and make proper decisions, i.e., schedule client/participant appointments, resolve any issues, or redirect to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct initial certification and recertification.
- Collect anthropometric and hematological data.
- Accurately obtains/documents and enters information in the WOW system, such as proof of residence, identity, proof of income, and proof of pregnancy if applicable.
- Provide primary and secondary nutrition education.
- Follow established federal and state guidelines and the applicants? dietary/health requirements and preferences.
- Evaluate the need for and refer clients to other health, food assistance, and social services programs.
- Ordering nutrition education and breastfeeding materials from the State Distribution Center; tracking, distributing, maintaining inventory, and arranging transporting of the items from the central office to the sites.
- Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
- Create and maintain files for documents.
- Responsible for accurately documenting staff?s arrival/departure time.
- Assist with applying templates (classes and appointments) in the computer system.
- Coordinate time and location for staff meetings, transcript and disseminate meeting minutes.
- Manage and delegate work assignments for office support staff.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining local agency caseload assignment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Three years related experience. Requires an understanding of changing reimbursement policies and third party reimbursement.
- Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to work independently.
- Excellent computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel).
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent time management and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Experience working with multicultural and special needs populations.
- Ability to provide excellent participant-centered customer service; basic nutrition knowledge
- Must be willing to travel to various sites and perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or program coordinator.
- Previous WIC experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30am ? 5:00pm. Some weekend work may be required.
