The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites application for a full-time Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist Physician. This academic appointment will be under the Health Sciences Clinical Instructor or Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor.
Applicants must possess an M.D. degree or equivalent and be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. Candidates must also be board certified or eligible in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The incumbent should have excellent teaching skills with an active interest in educating medical students and residents; clinical and/or basic research; and clinical practice in areas of general obstetrics and gynecology. Subspecialty or certifications are welcomed in areas such as Family Planning and Minimally Invasive Surgery. At least three to five year of clinical experience is preferred.
The incumbent will be expected to teach, perform research and/or creative work, and provide University and public service. This position includes direct patient care in the outpatient and inpatient setting at Westwood and/or Santa Monica; shared on-call duties; and practice in UCLA Health System offices.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience, credentials and prior accomplishments.
The posted UC salary scales ( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation /index.html) set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 - Summary. The salary range for this position is $250,000-$325,000. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan ( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf ), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
