We are a staffing agency assisting a government department in their search for a Revenue Analyst to lead the Real Estate and Mobile Home section under the Delinquent Tax Collector. This temp-to-hire position offers a salary range of $56,000 - $60,000 and is ideal for someone with experience in tax offices, legal settings, or banking institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for bidders in the Delinquent Tax Sale, managing inquiries related to past and present tax sales, voids, redemptions, and cancellations.
Prepare Quit Claim deeds and Bills of Sale in accordance with South Carolina law.
Oversee the tax sale process, ensuring compliance with Title 12-49 and 12-51-40 et seq, including notifications, postings, and advertisements.
Handle Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests related to delinquent tax sales, overages, and public inquiries.
Manage communications with bidders, taxpayers, attorneys, and the general public about post-tax sale notifications.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Legal/Paralegal, or a related field.
Experience: Five or more years in a tax office, attorney’s office, or banking institution preferred—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS 365 is required.
Knowledge Base:
Strong understanding of SC tax laws, lien priorities, and bankruptcy provisions.
Experience with deed research, abstracting, and preparation preferred.
Familiarity with computerized tax systems is a plus.

Other Requirements:
Ability to handle sensitive tax delinquency situations with professionalism and discretion.
Knowledge of Charleston County’s geographical layout is strongly preferred.
Must possess a valid SC driver’s license or be able to obtain one upon hire.
