Michigan Medicine's Health Information Technology and Service (HITS) Business IT division is seeking a Product Delivery Manager to join our team.
You will lead a technology delivery team, which supports the selection, implementation and ongoing management of core enterprise technology solutions. Having responsibility for managing, prioritizing, planning, & coordinating the delivery of technical solutions, you will drive collaboration with business partners, customer success, finance, and other extended technology teams/management to deliver on technology implementations.
- Leads & supports the technical delivery staff including coaching, counseling, & resolving IT related problems.
- Conducts IT staff performance evaluations and implements staff development plans.
- Uses effective communication & problem-solving skills to supervise activities related to the design & implementation of modern technology solutions as well as support, maintenance and upgrade of existing solutions.
- Bolsters a strong technical culture that emphasizes technical excellence, subject matter expertise, rapid iteration, strong security, and optimal user experience.
- Maintains & recommends changes to processes and procedures that attract and retain people who are effective in IT solution delivery.
- Serve as general technical owner of technology solutions within the team's portfolio with accountability for full product lifecycle (inception, growth, retirement).
- Ensures compliance with enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics that adhere to policies, procedures, and standard while simultaneously delivering value to the enterprise.
- Assists senior leadership with cascading the BusIT strategic vision and ensuring that team members understand their role in supporting and meeting the objectives of that vision.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field
- Minimum 7 years of related professional experience.
- Minimum 7 years of direct IT related experience in software development, COTS implementation, system design/system administration.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in supervisor, manager or team lead capacity.
- Experience overseeing & monitoring technical delivery work in alignment with organizational goals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud-computing, SaaS, platform-based or COTS systems & implementations that are consistent with industry standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of platform/product lines including learning management systems (ie. Cornerstone), productivity & collaboration platforms (ie.M365/G-Suite) or enterprise marketing communication tools (ie.Dynamics 365).
- Demonstrated knowledge with SQL and Informatica.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project/portfolio management.
- Demonstrated experience in discerning key aspects of a problem and developing an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, design, & translate business requirements to technical UX features.
- General understanding of IT security best practices and threat protection.
- Solid technical design capability with demonstrated ability to tie together solutions across systems.
- Demonstrated written and oral presentation skills necessary to successfully influence senior executives.
