Job DescriptionDevelop assigned courses and provide classroom and laboratory instruction for Medical Laboratory Technician studentsEvaluate and advise students;Maintain supplies needed for classes;Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events;Maintain technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events;Promote diversity, inclusion and cultural competency.Minimum QualificationsBachelor?s degree.Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a medical laboratory technologist/scientist.One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or theAABBoard of Registry (ABOR), or American Medical Technologist (AMT).Preferred QualificationMaster?s or doctoral degreeASCP-BOCor ASCPi-BOCgeneralist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical TechnologistThree years of teaching experienceFamiliar withNAACLSaccreditation proceduresOther RequirementsTo apply for this position, please continue the process via this website or directly at: http://www.saintpaul.edu/AboutUs/employment.Applicants must apply online, other forms of submission will not be accepted.
