Canrig is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our global fulfillment center and manufacturing assembly facility in Magnolia, Tx. This skilled multitasker will manage all the activities of both a distribution warehouse as well as a manufacturing inventory storage and disbursement warehouse to encompass the receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing, staging, inventory cycle counting, product preservation and shipping activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded. The warehouse manager must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment on a priority basis, as well as satisfying sales order and material demand, while executing on-time shipment of thousands of product orders every year. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously.
The Warehouse Manager will initiate and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse flow, drive operation efficiency, accuracy and improve productivity through lean, standardization, technology, and automation. She/He must multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and perform duties that drive customer satisfaction, while leading and developing a productive team of warehouse personnel. This role encompasses overseeing inventory management and coordinating distribution operations, requiring a distinct set of skills and expertise.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum five years of freight forwarding and operations experience required
- Minimum three years of supervisory or management experience required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, engineering drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency - with customer satisfaction the primary goal - by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, logistics traffic processes, and shipping methods.
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security of our inventory
- Effectively communicates and validates that the team understands priorities and processes.
- Develops, recommends, and implements process and procedure improvements for service delivery to the customer
- Supervises staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff
- Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance following organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
- Collaborates with senior management to deliver strategic business results.

- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing local operating procedures and work instructions.
- Responsible in the event of an injury for preparing all accident reports by thoroughly investigating the accident. Interview all witnesses and see that the injured employee receives medical treatment.
- Responsible for ensuring that all hours worked by associates are accurate in the attendance system and verifying all timecards of all hourly associates working on their shift
- Responsible for managing all department employees, including but not limited to approving or denying vacation requests, timecard verification, monitoring attendance and taking disciplinary action, if necessary, accident investigation, and assigning daily work assignments.
- Direct and manage physical inventory cycle counts of products and reconcile with data to maintain adequate inventory levels.
