Large manufacturer in beautiful / diverse northern Alabama seeks an Automation Engineer to program and troubleshoot PLCs, as well as serve as technical point of contact for AC/DC motors and drives, and the like. strong PLC troubleshooting skills required and an ability to program PLCs from scratch or the ability to learn. salary: $95,000 - 130,000 per year


work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:




  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment

  • Troubleshoot PLCs and related equipment

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC motors and drives

  • Provide engineered solutions to failures and issues


requirements:





  • BS Electrical Engineering preferred

  • 4+ years industrial automation experience

  • Ability to program PLCs from scratch preferred, ability to modify existing programs combined with the desire to learn programming to be considered

  • Experience out of heavy industry preferred (steel, aluminum, pulp/paper, chemical, raw materials), experience out of heavy manufacturing to be considered (automotive, appliance, etc)
