Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented and passionate Principal Recruiter to join our team. In this role you will develop and implement effective recruiting strategies for key hires across a broad geography and ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record in talent acquisition.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Clearly communicate with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand job requirements and expectations. Maintain transparent and timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Foster and sustain trusted connections with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders. Cultivate a positive and professional relationship with potential candidates to elevate the overall candidate experience.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization's culture, values, and work environment and infuse it in customized communications. Articulate the employee value proposition (EVP) to potential candidates.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and changes in the job market. Use market insights to tailor recruitment strategies and stay competitive in attracting top talent.
  • Take a strategic approach to talent acquisition; align and execute recruitment efforts with overall business goals and activities. Work with business units to understand future hiring needs and proactively plan recruitment strategies, while anticipating challenges and obstacles.
  • Quickly adapt to changes in the business environment, including shifts in hiring needs or organizational priorities. Embrace new technologies and methodologies to improve recruitment processes.
  • Deliberately provide a positive candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment process. Continuously seek feedback from candidates and use it to enhance the overall candidate experience.
  • Gather and track metrics to make informed decisions based on data insights.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools effectively to streamline the hiring process, efficiently manage large volumes of resumes, and track candidate progress through various stages of recruitment. Research and creatively source talent via social media and non-traditional channels, as well as Workday, assigned job boards, and other networking sites.
  • Apply advanced negotiation skills to facilitate successful offer discussions with candidates. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to influence and recommend appropriate total compensation.
  • Adhere to ethical recruiting practices, foster diversity and inclusion in hiring, and ensure compliance with regulations set by both internal policies and external governing bodies.
  • Provide oversight on key/large programs while cross-collaborating with stakeholders and outside the function. Apply great organizational skills with the ability to adjust plans as needed.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and support to ensure successful recruitment outcomes with the wider team.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on recruitment metrics, including gathering, analysis, and presentation of data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior recruiter role.
  • Highly tuned stakeholder management skills.
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to work in the “gray.”  
  • Ability to formulate recruitment strategies and tactics to meet project objectives.
  • Proficiency in cultivating mutually beneficial relationships to advance the team's collective hiring objectives.
  • Executive presence traits to inspire confidence, composure, and character, aligning seamlessly with the organization's values.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage own recruiting workload.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering presentations and facilitating discussions with leadership, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage with astuteness and a curious mindset to learn and utilize acquired knowledge for greater impact.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR).
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
