Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to monitor the construction activities related to Mechanical works of the project. In this role you will get to work on one of the unique hospitality projects in the kingdom.
What You'll Be Doing:
Conducts tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications and may include any of the following: Performs Mechanical and mechanical tests.
They must be completely familiar with the plans, general specifications, particular specifications, and construction methods for the phases of the work to which they have been assigned.
Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.
Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
Inspects Mechanical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to statutory and customer regulations.
Performs continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity.
Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
Verifies equipment alignment and balancing operations. Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures
Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
May administer welder qualification tests.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
The Inspectors are responsible for the direct oversight of the performance of the Contractor on site, checking for conformance of the works with the contract documentation.
They will be coordinating daily with the Contractor’s Quality Engineers in charge of the packages of work to advice on the proper execution of the work.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
Minimum 8 years of construction work experience related to Mechanical inspection.
Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.
