Portfolio /Program Delivery  Sr Manager

Position Summary

The Portfolio Delivery Sr. Manager is responsible for several pieces of the segment’s governance structure, along with key forums for team management and development. This role supports the team and organization to grow the business and meet expected outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: i) leading the goal management framework across all Pharmacy Segment Services (PSS) initiatives ii) conducting in-flight reviews (IFRs) of strategic initiatives which entails collecting artifacts, performing stakeholder interviews, evaluating program performances, and presenting findings to Senior Leadership, iii) supporting the Portfolio Delivery Leadership with improving colleague engagement. The Sr Manager may take on Program Management responsibilities or provide support for the Portfolio Management Team (PMT).

The Sr Manager, requiring minimal supervision, will be responsible for effectively managing team/stakeholder expectations and engagement through clear communication of roles and responsibilities and regular updates. The Sr Manager may oversee the work of other team members and be responsible for providing timely, written feedback on project and performance.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Management of assigned deliverables including but not limited to: goal framework documentation, risk/issue tracking, IFR results, team materials, such as town halls and colleague engagement, and program management or PMT artifacts. Deliver all assigned work in full compliance with CVS Health standards on-time with high quality. Skilled delegation and leadership by example to help CVS Health develop our people to their full potential while delivering top performance. Ensuring all assignments are met through proactive engagement of support teams and in compliance with process standards. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Drive successful delivery of our Goal Management Framework across all initiatives. Holds teams accountable to standards through regular follow-ups, trainings, etc. Supports overall evolution of goals to meet strategic objectives

· Manage and execute the In-flight Reviews (IFRs) of large, strategic initiatives to gain insights into governance, financial, and operational performance against business objectives, scope, value, and financial commitments

· Create and maintain artifacts, including but not limited to guides, work instructions, standard related to the goal framework and IFRs

· Lead complex initiatives

· Partner with the Portfolio Management Team to provide insights to maximize and drive sustainable value for the project portfolio

· Performs proper risk/issue management, documents all items in a consolidated log

· Leads the rollout of any new goal or IFR related tools or processes

· Trains team members on the goal and IFR processes

· Produce regular and thorough stakeholder communications

· Lead regular department meetings

· Lead the development and implementation of colleague engagement improvements

· Performs meeting management, e.g., distribution of material and taking of meeting notes

· Ensure required artifacts are completed and stored in the project repository

· Helps on board and mentor new team members

Required Qualifications

· 7+ years successful delivery of strategic programs

· 2+ years successful years working with various goal frameworks such as OKRs

· 2+ years of performing quality reviews on programs or projects using a defined evaluation criterium

Preferred Qualifications

· Deep understanding of project methodologies such as Agile, etc.

· Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, ServiceNow, Planview, Quickbase, Airtable, Asana, etc.

· Strong Microsoft O365 skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Experience working with multiple teams, delegating work, and ensuring team efficiency

· Project Management certification

· Health care, insurance, or pharmacy experience is a plus

Education

· Bachelor's degree preferred /specialized training/relevant professional qualification

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $165,954.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
