Field Superintendent - Military Veterans

Our client is a family owned and operated mechanical contractor who has been in business since 1965, they offer construction and service operations throughout North Carolina and are in need of new talent due to tremendous growth.

This team is forward thinking about what they invest in and leverage the latest proven technologies to build high quality and schedule sensitive projects. They are specifically known for high quality installation and service and are experienced in commercial healthcare, educational, life science, pharmaceutical, and state/federal government work.

They are in search of Superintendents in the Charlotte area, where the candidate will manage 4 to 6 foremen who supervise about twenty-four workers at the construction sites. You are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Your responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.

Essential functions:

- Monitor field labor productivity

- Coordinate project and material need to maintain piping and sheet metal field labor productivity

- Provide "hands-on" assistance at the job site for field crews to ensure maximum productivity of high quantity field labor tasks

- Assist on-site field mechanics with the development of work sequence and material needs

- Provide "hands-on" assistance at the job site with the setting of all equipment, specifically boilers, chillers, pumps, air handling devices, fans, and other critical equipment

- Assist in developing new foreman and mechanics through on-site, and classroom training

- Assist in troubleshooting and service calls on installed systems when required

- Monitor equipment rentals for optimum use

- Work with Field Supers to manage company vehicles

- Monitor subcontractor progress and performance

- Make salary adjustment recommendations to Senior Field Supers/Field Supers for review

- Procure tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules

- Develop a positive relationship with the client's approved temporary staffing agencies

- Supervising/managing temporary workers should be accomplished identical to supervising/managing full-time workers

- Completely understand and enforce client's safety policy

- Weekly toolbox talks and site safety inspections should be implemented

Base salary, $90K - $150K BOE with huge annual bonuses, a company car or vehicle allowance, little to no overnight travel, full benefits, a 401k, revenue and profit sharing and annual merit reviews
