The Technology Specialist 3 independently develops and implements configurations, automation tools, and scripts for IT and OT systems. This role is responsible for managing a wide range of system components across multiple interconnected systems, ensuring proper functionality, performance, and security. The Technology Specialist 3 provides technical leadership and supervises others as required.
Responsibilities
- Independently develops, improves, and implements automation tools, configurations, and scripts for IT and OT systems.
- Leads planning and execution of system implementation, maintenance, and reconfiguration efforts.
- Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex functional, performance, and security issues.
- Manages own tasks based on the area of responsibilities and supervises others as needed.
- Develops and executes testing and commissioning procedures, including subsystem and system-level testing.
- Creates detailed system and subsystem-level configuration specifications and procedures.
- Participates in technical demonstrations and contributes to technical proposal writing.
- Supports risk management activities to mitigate potential impacts on system performance and security.
- Willing to travel to customer sites for startups
Qualifications
- Requires ten (10)+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems with a high school diploma or GED
- Requires substantial travel to project sites as required by customer and program manager to meet project deliverable's
- Proficient with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools
Desired Qualifications: Allen Bradley PLC, Ignition, Distech, Niagara, Siemens Desigo
Abilities:
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
