Position Summary

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Admission, the Associate Director of Enrollment Analytics is a member of the Undergraduate Admission (UA) department and understands admissions strategies for undergraduate students and how to harness data and analytics to shape, influence, and model enrollment. The Associate Director will develop and refine data-driven strategies to inform enrollment and ensure leadership has the data and analysis needed to make informed decisions that advance institutional and division goals. They will have a strategic understanding of the role of enrollment analytics in the support of new student enrollment, student success, student retention, and tuition revenue. The Associate Director will contribute to the development of analytical approaches towards enrollment forecasting and assessment of recruitment initiatives. Analysis and reports are used to assist in development of policies and processes for senior management and presentations to external and campus entities, so the incumbent must have strong data and interpersonal skills for interpretation, successful dissemination of summary data and analytic outcomes, and ability to maintain sensitivity and confidentiality of the data.

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience and/or combination of Bachelor's degree in related field. (Required)
  • Extensive experience in higher education, particularly enrollment management; recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and retention. (Required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical concepts, data manipulation, and programming of statistics software (SAS, SPSS, R, Python, or similar). (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL, Tableau, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Google Analytics. (Required)
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing data, problems, situations, practices or procedures to define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors, and formulate logical and objective conclusions. (Required)
  • Experience preparing documents that are clearly written, well organized, well structured, accurate, complete, cover relevant issues, and professional in appearance. (Required)
  • Working knowledge of relevant UCLA and Undergraduate Admission policies, processes, and procedures. (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of higher education Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems (Slate). (Required)
  • Knowledge of computer systems analysis and design methodology using word processing, spreadsheet, database, communications, productivity, and graphics software. (Required)
  • Detailed knowledge of Admission Mainframe Computer system (Undergraduate) data and operations. (Preferred)
  • Ability to explain sophisticated analyses and technical concepts and conclusions to a non-technical audience. (Required)
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Windows. (Required)
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments. (Required)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion and tact. (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and prepare project plans and schedules. (Required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Administrators, Technical Support, Users, and other staff. (Required)
  • Forward-thinking, collaborative, has a sense of urgency and engagement, honesty and candor, and a personal presence that is approachable. (Required)
  • Exceptional communication and data presentation skills. (Required)
