A prominent food equipment manufacturing company in the St Louis, MO area is seeking a Design Services Manager to lead a team of Designers, CAD Technicians and Estimators. This position will lead the team that designs custom food production equipment for customers. The Manager will be able to mainuplate customer equipment and should be good at engaging customers and driving sales. The Manager should have good baseline experience to bridge the gap between customer needs and manufacturing capability. The ideal candidate for this role could be an architect or an engineer. The Manager should be able to think on their feet and influence a team! The role is salaried in the $100K+ range, plus bonuses!

responsibilities:
- Bridge the gap between market needs and operating capabiities
- Ensure that products and service offerings are relevant, competitive and packaged properly
- Ensure the design and quote deliverables are on target to win profitability
- Apply knowledge of design, modeling, and drawing practices to solve design challenges
- Ensure that the design meets quality standards, cost budgets and schedule deadlines
- Develop, implement and evolve CAD standards
- Develop and collect metrics to improve CI efforts
