Sr. Manager, SOX - Military Veterans

Description:We are seeking an experienced and accomplished SOX Sr. Manager to lead our organization's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of internal auditing, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, with a strong background in managing SOX compliance programs. This senior leader role will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of our internal controls, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our risk management and financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain our SOX compliance program, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with senior leadership, audit committee, external auditors, and other key stakeholders to ensure internal control alignment and mitigate regulatory risk
• Provide strategic guidance and oversight to drive the 1LMX internal control transformation, managing external consultants and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements
• Identify and assess risks related to financial reporting, implementing controls to mitigate these risks and ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls
• Develop and implement transformational policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements
• Provide guidance and training to leaders and staff on SOX compliance and internal controls, ensuring a culture of compliance and risk management
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal controls to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
• Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices related to SOX compliance and internal controls, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Active CPA, CIA, or CISA certification
• Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in internal auditing, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of SOX requirements
• Proven experience leading and managing a SOX compliance program, including the design, implementation, and testing of internal controls for both business and IT
• Experience working in SOX frameworks of an SEC registrant, with a mindset of continuous improvement and a proven ability to transform processes
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements, with experience working with external auditors and regulatory agencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences and brief executive leaders
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Experience with AuditBoard or similar internal control management software
Desired Skills:
• Big 4 accounting firm experience, strongly preferred
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders and regulatory requirements

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
