Software Engineer III – Unreal Developer (AR/VR Training & Multiplayer) - Military Veterans

We are seeking a Software Engineer III with extensive Unreal Engine experience to develop sophisticated AR/VR training applications. This role involves designing and implementing complex interactive features, optimizing performance, and creating scalable multiplayer systems. Collaboration with artists and game designers is essential to deliver immersive training experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced interactive features for AR/VR training applications using Unreal Engine.
- Develop and optimize multiplayer networking components for real-time simulations.
- Enhance application performance, scalability, and responsiveness for high-quality AR/VR experiences.
- Collaborate with artists and designers to integrate assets and ensure cohesive functionality.
- Integrate external APIs, hardware interfaces, and third-party plugins as required.
- Debug, profile, and optimize Unreal Engine applications for various AR/VR platforms.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Unreal Engine development.
- Proficient in C++, with a deep understanding of Unreal’s architecture.
- Experience developing VR and AR applications in Unreal Engine.
- Strong knowledge of multiplayer networking, including replication and real-time synchronization.
- Proven ability to debug and optimize VR/AR applications for performance.
- Experience collaborating with artists and designers to implement interactive features.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Perforce.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
