Systems and Programming Manager, Senior - Military Veterans

Amentum is now hiring for a Systems & Programming Manager (Senior) position in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage, organize, and administer systems analysis and preparation of applications and operating systems programming to process data and solve problems by use of computers.
- Establish priorities and schedules and oversees and reviews work of systems analysis personnel and programming personnel.
- Review feasibility studies and time and cost estimates of new or revised systems.
- Assist in the development of standards, procedures, and operating systems applications.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and according to company standards.
- Consult with personnel in other information systems groups to coordinate activities.
- Consult with management to clarify systems and programs intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of application systems changes required.
- Develop a project plan and schedule with key milestones, contingency plans, workflow charts or diagrams, considering factors, such as resource requirements, computer storage capacity and speed, extent of peripheral equipment, and intended use of output data.
- Manage conversion of workflow charts to language that can be processed by computer and entering of program codes and test data into computer.
- Analyze test runs on computer and supervise correction of coded program and input data.
- Manage the revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
- Compile documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
- Train subordinates in systems analysis, feasibility studies, programming, and program coding.
- Prescribe standards for terms and symbols used to simplify interpretation of programs.
- Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods.
- Prepare records and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
- (1 position) Must have a Bachelor of Science degree.
- (1 position) Must have a Master of Science degree.
- Must have 9 years of experience. Will accept 5 (for BS)/10 years (for MS) of additional experience in lieu of degree.
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance.
- Experience supporting C5ISR DEVCOM programs
