Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First-Line Flightline Operations Manager (Level K) to support the PDX Paint and Flight Operation Activities team in Portland, Oregon.
A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety.
Position Responsibilities:
Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience working in Manufacturing or Flightline operations.
1+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams.
1+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive spray painting.
Willing and able to work 2nd shift.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free principles.
Experience working with contracted service providers.

Shift:
This role is primarily second shift, with potential opportunities for first-shift rotations.
The schedule consists of 12-hour shifts, alternating between three days one week and four days the next within the pay period.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $124,200 - $151,800
