How will you make a difference?

The Production Planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity within the assigned Customer Fulfillment Unit (CFU). This position works with minimal supervision and must be able to work with people on all organizational levels inside and outside our facility.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor's degree in a business or engineering and/or a minimum of three years' experience in a related manufacturing environment required.
• Extensive computer experience working with MS Office; strong Excel skills are required (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas). Proficiency with MS Outlook as well as with an ERP software (Oracle preferred) is required.

What will your typical day look like?

• Proficiently and accurately prepares and manages detailed production schedules and status reports to meet customer delivery requirements
• Releases work orders in the ERP system according to the schedule and prioritizes jobs for production optimization to meet company and financial requirements.
• Monitor the sales backlog for his/her planner code
• Liaison with OE & Aftermarket teams on loading and lead-time of all new Sales Orders
• Possesses knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by achieving on-time deliveries of quality products. Follow through special requests and expedites. Identify potential late deliveries and plan recovery.
• Communicate with Projects, Aftermarket, Operations, and Materials departments to smoothly coordinate scheduling changes.
• Create, maintain, and update various spreadsheets and system information as needed.
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position which may include quoting lead times for specialty items, document control, creating procedures, or other duties as may be assigned.
• Raise issues to the Operations Manager as needed in a timely manner.

• Solid conceptual and analytical thinking and proven ability to solve complex tasks with a high level of ambiguity, under time pressure
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization and able to gain the respect of cross-functional organization
• Highly organized and able to deliver results through others
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$60,700.00-$83,400.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com .
