About this role:
Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Lending Enablement is seeking an L1 Product Owner to oversee the development, enhancement, and management of Billings and Statements functionalities within our lending platforms. The L1 Product Owner will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and customers, ensuring that billing and statement processes meet client needs, align with organizational goals, and adhere to regulatory standards. This role requires a blend of product management expertise, financial services knowledge, and strong collaboration skills to deliver seamless, efficient, and client-focused solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams
- Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives
- Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives
- Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions
- Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables
- Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems
- Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of LoanIQ internal configuration tables
- Ability to process LoanIQ transactions end to end - Deal Creation, Servicing, Termination
- Familiarity with commercial banking, lending products, or financial systems
- General knowledge of Lending Practices (Lenders, Borrowers, Agent, Participant)
- Agile Practices (Scrum/Kanban) and use of Jira boards
- Experience working with development teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- SQL and Power BI
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements
- Passion for delivering client-centric solutions that drive operational efficiency
