Customer Service Specialist - Military Veterans

Compensation: $18 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Customer Service experience diffusing client concerns and managing critical situations that ensure the best solution is implemented.
  • Experience in office utilizing Microsoft office software including Word, and Excel.
  • Accurate Data Entry skills.
  • Experience with high volume inbound and outbound calling.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service or insurance-related experience.
  • Must pass a background and drug screening.



Job Summary:
  • Provide advanced customer service and support to internal staff and external clients in the areas of property & casualty suite of products, workers' compensation, ERISA bonds, BOP, and EPLI.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge concerning the products and services supported by the company Insurance Agency.
  • Assist external users of technical products by answering questions and solving problems.
  • Identify, investigate, and research user questions and problems, referring unresolved issues to technical or professional personnel for follow-up as needed.
  • Research and resolve product and service issues related to the Property & Casualty suite of products from any internal/external clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all internal and external communication.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of Insurance Agency portfolio, corresponding systems, and internal/external processes to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop enhancements to existing or new processes and procedures, making necessary recommendations to management.
  • Utilize multiple software applications in conjunction with carrier and bureau websites to respond to all client inquiries. Internal applications include HRIS (human resource information system) and Online Reporting System.
  • Stay abreast of all changes pertaining to various internal product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes, and insurance industry developments in support of client satisfaction.
  • Participate in assigned projects or required training.
