We are an integrated product team (IPT) looking for a dependable and experienced project engineer to join our tight-knit group. The Boost Controls Subsystems (BCS) IPT is an organization within FBM that is responsible for the development, production, and sustainment of the sub-systems that control the missile during the boost phase of flight. The BCS IPT is responsible for the entire planning, proposing, executing, and delivering all lifecycle phases and aspects of the Thrust Vector Control (TVC) and Aerospike sub-systems which are systems that provide mechanical control during the boost phase of missile flight.
This position is for an IPT Lead within the BCS IPT to lead one of the product teams that exists within the BCS subsystems. The IPT lead will:
• Coordinate planning, organization, control, integration and completion of all scope within the IPT
• Maintain and execute against the existing IPT’s cost, schedule, and technical baseline
• Develop and lead the IPT through execution of timely issue resolution
• Identify and propose cost, schedule, and technical risks and opportunities against your assigned scope
• Work closely with our BCS Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) and Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) teams
• Represent the IPT to BCS leadership, LM Senior leadership, suppliers, and our Navy partner
• Ensure all efforts are coordinated and integrated across the product team and suppliers
• Support Ad hoc tasking by BCS Leadership
• Collaborate and lead well in a team environment

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business oriented field and/or equivalent related experience
• Knowledge of product lifecycles and how each phase of the lifecycle may drive future benefits or consequences
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
• Any combination of experience in: engineering project management, supplier management, annual budget proposals, technical evaluations, tracking and development of cost/schedule
• Program/Project Management experience with the ability to articulate sophisticated technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management, and customers
• Strong leadership skills and whole systems thinking
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering or business oriented field
• Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)
• Missile and/or aerospace and/or technical government related education or experience
• Experience with FBM processes and products
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing
• Experience as a principal engineer delegate or project lead
• Risk and opportunity management experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts
• Experience in leading and coordinating across functional and programmatic boundaries
• Control Account Management (CAM) Experience and/or Earned Value Management (EVM) Experience
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
