Assistant Dean, Custom Program Management - McDonough School of Business Georgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation's capital. Requirements Non-degree programs in Executive Education are a key part of the McDonough School of Business ' strategic growth plan. We are investing in resources to ensure that the rapid growth we are experiencing globally can be supported by highly qualified people leaders on the program delivery side. Our goal is to build our program delivery team and extend the leadership capability so that we can continue to support and to enhance the quality delivery of new business and returning clients to increase revenue opportunities for the school. The Assistant Dean's responsibilities will include extensive management of people, processes, and client interaction daily across cultures and borders, supervising the communications and interactions with hundreds of participants across multiple programs weekly, divided into groups or cohorts, as well as highly detailed coordination with faculty members, internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors. This position will require flexibility as the incumbent may travel up to 10% of the year domestically and abroad and work some weekends and evenings up to 20% of the year for program deliveries and events. The Assistant Dean of Program Management has responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Lead a team of 6 direct reports and 3 student workers, with a potential of over 50 programs and 8 million dollars in revenue. Partner with CEE Business Development and Marketing Teams to foster new portfolio growth and repeat business. Lead Program Team and Co-Lead CEE weekly meetings to share vision, goals, challenges, and build team rapport. Build relationships with hundreds of clients across cultures and borders to build a best-in-class MSB Exec Ed brand. Strengthen key internal relationships to collaborate and influence new MSB building space for MSB Exec Ed growth. Re-delineate key processes across PM team into 5 product groups to optimize quality and GU bargaining power. Develop new portfolio metrics to analyze program revenues vs. delivery complexity to drive efficiency. Standardize all communications and interactions with clients and stakeholders before, during, and post-program. Manage highly-detailed team coordination with faculty members, external vendors, and contractors. Design and develop multiple special projects continually to improve programs delivery standards and quality Create team-building and professional development opportunities to hire and retain a high-performing team. Work Interactions Reporting to the Chief of External Affairs, the Assistant Dean of Program Management takes a key leadership role in managing the entire team that delivers over $8 million in revenues of 50 Executive Custom Programs, and hundreds of client relationships at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. They have responsibilities that include developing strategic goals for business growth, building and maintaining a high-performing team under pressure, project coordination and collaboration across MSB, organizing team offsites and professional development, engage in extensive client interaction and program delivery - not only onsite at Georgetown, but also offsite, as well as domestically, internationally, and virtually. Requirements and Qualifications Master's degree in a related field of business 10 or more years of experience in program design/management and high-level client interaction Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead presentations, meetings, and public speaking Professional maturity and judgment to handle complex pressure and constraints at highest ethical standards Global citizen with skilled intercultural communication skills to engage and adapt to multicultural stakeholders Outstanding organizational abilities, a critical eye for detail, and outstanding written and oral communications Solutions-oriented with a focus on team collaboration to navigate change and ambiguity Ability to long-term plan, make decisions and act under pressure Ability to build high-performing teams by recruiting, hiring, and developing strong talent Skilled with team management and the balance of delegating to others and leaning in where needed Demonstrated experience in designing and managing multiple concurrent projects seamlessly Demonstrated experience working in teams and managing student workers and junior staff Availability to work some weekends and evenings up to 20% for client/team events and some offsite travel Work Mode Designation This position's work mode has been designated as Hybrid . Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $66,783.00 - $126,720.23 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
