Position Specific Description

One of NextEra Energy Resources' growing business is a leading residential clean energy solutions provider known as EverBright. EverBright provides a platform that designs, proposes and finances solar and storage projects nationwide. EverBright brings together finance and technology, to provide customers with an all-in-one solution for powering their carbon-neutral homes. Business Management is responsible for the overall performance of the Everbright portfolio of assets in-service and under construction including the development and execution of plans to optimize financial performance of the assets. As the Director, you will be responsible for profit and loss accountability, partner relationships, compliance with financings, strategy development, and identifying opportunities to improve portfolio health to support future financings.

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team responsible for the day to day financial, commercial, and performance oversight of the EverBright portfolio
  • Establish portfolio analytics and create processes to standup Business Management organization
  • Support and lead EverBright strategic initiatives
  • Support Finance and Project Valuation team with development and evaluation of inputs/assumptions for project go / no-go decision making.
  • Ensures compliance with executed agreements which may include leases, financing arrangements and regulatory requirements
  • Manage existing EverBright financings and support/coordinate with treasury on future cash needs
  • Identify optimization opportunities and resolves issues across multiple assets and report findings and results to senior management
  • Maintains close and collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; manage installer health program
  • Supports negotiation of commercial agreements and/or modifications
  • Trains and mentors team members
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Finance or Business Administration
  • Masters in Business Administration, or Finance
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.


Job Overview

Responsibilities include profit and loss accountability, customer relationships, compliance with power purchase agreements, financing and regulatory requirements, and strategy. Success requires an understanding of the regulatory and market dynamics of the power industry.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic strategy for a portfolio of assets that defends against unfavorable market and regulatory risks
  • Direct a team who ensures compliance with power purchase agreements, land leases, financings and regulatory requirements
  • Prepares and reviews financial forecasts, financial models, financial statements, and analyzes data
  • In volatile market conditions provide real-time recommendations for dispatch and hedge positions
  • Maintains close working relationships with partners, customers and stakeholders
  • Negotiate settlements on disputes concerning PPAs, land owners, and other stakeholders
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they understand key risk and market dynamics
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's - Business Administration
  • Experience: 10+ years


Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
