Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Senior CAD Data Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The Sr. CAD Data Manager is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Duties include system, model and drawing data correctness and integrity, ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations for data that is created from internal projects or supplied by the customer. Sr. CAD Data Manager will work to manage and maintain aspects of the various Product Data Management systems including but not limited to training in the system, workflow maintenance and issue resolution, along with liaison to system administrators on internal or external systems under the purview of the Leidos CM/DM team. Sr. CAD Data Manager will work independently to develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines. Sr. CAD Data Manager will provide project support in creating/reviewing contents of CAD models and their constituent parts, item records, change records and other items in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Sr. CAD Data Manager will be responsible for executing Configuration and Data Management processes and controls; ensuring company policies and procedures are implemented in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Sr. CAD Data Manager will write and maintain documents such as DM corporate policies, Data Management plans, Project Configuration Forms, desktop instructions, DM work instructions, audit forms and enact requirements of program Access Control lists. Sr. CAD Data Manager will oversee DM team members regarding solution design, process and/or approaches. Sr. CAD Data Manager will support tasks in a dynamic environment, working closely with the CM/DM, engineering, manufacturing, quality, other teams, and the customer and/or external contacts to support products throughout their lifecycle. Sr. CAD Data Manager will be expected to work on site for a minimum of 4+ days a week.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education:  This position requires a 4 year degree in a relevant applicable field and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience. 
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge of and ability to apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques of technical domain and develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines.
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge and experience in configuration change management principles and record types.
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software and other CM practices as detailed in SAE EIA-649 (series and associated handbooks), ASME Y14 (series), ISO 9001, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-61, DODM 5200.01 (series), DODI 5200.48 etc.
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.  (Agile PLM, Oracle Agile, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, etc.)
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge of bill of materials, technical documents, product drawings, schematics, diagrams and specifications.
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as CREO, Solidworks, etc.
• Candidate must have detailed knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as Windchill, Solidworks PDM Pro, etc.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office products (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio experience is a plus)
• Candidate must be proficient in Adobe PDF editing software or equivalent
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft SharePoint collaboration software
• Candidate must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, customer representatives and external contacts.
• Candidate must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented.
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• NDIA CDM, CMII or other Configuration Management/Data Management certification
• CAD or PDM certifications.
