Develop, coordinate, and implement programs and services for the Center for Student Life comprised of more than 300 student organizations that are allocated funding by the Student Activities Board, a committee of Student Government, and advised by graduate student staff and professional staff in the Center for Student Life. Advise student leaders, student clubs and organizations on club management and leadership issues, and assist with club retention and student organization success. Make recommendations and referrals for intervention and assistance as appropriate. Develop and implement related trainings, assessments, and communications for club leaders and advisors in partnership with other University stakeholders. Supervise graduate student employee.

Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related area

Required Experience:
5+ years related experience creating and administering programs and/or services to college students, including planning and implementing programs, advising and supervising students, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Relevant experience in a college student life environment working with student organizations and programs. Experience with student organizations, peer leader programs, new student orientation, or equivalent combinations. Experience with professional and graduate student supervision. Experience in the creation and supervision of student-dedicated spaces and the academic and social related services in these spaces.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage work concurrently. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships and communicate with diverse populations and stakeholders. Knowledge of standard office productivity software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of student development theory and higher education practices. Creating and executing program and population assessments. Ability to create collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and university departments in order to create cohesive programs and services. Knowledge and work with student organizations.

Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $84,500.30. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
