Leidos’ Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team.  Daily job tasks consist of performing preventative Maintenance on Milling machines and lathes utilizing Fanuc and Siemens controls. Job requires knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to track weekly tasks performed on equipment. Technician must be able to perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and maintain CNC Mill, Lathes and Electron Beam Welders.

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of CNC equipment.

• Manage weekly oil/coolant levels.

• Documents PM Methodology for each machine by event. (i.e., weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).

• Trouble shooting:

  • Hydraulics

  • Pneumatics

  • Board failure

  • Spindle failure

Basic Qualifications 

• AS degree or Technical school with at least 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Read and interpret equipment manuals.

• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

• Must be able to communicate effectively.

• Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to operate equipment to troubleshoot.

• OSHA 10–30-hour classes.

• Background in operating CNC equipment.
