Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to Manage the Environmental department for Parsons at Diriyah Gate.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability and environmental strategies specific to the infrastructure project.
Integrate sustainability principles into all phases of the project, from planning and design to construction and operation.
Provide strategic direction and guidance to project leadership on sustainability and environmental matters.
Design and oversee sustainability programs and initiatives tailored to the infrastructure ability programs, making adjustments as needed to achieve project goals.
Ensure alignment of sustainability programs with industry best practices and emerging trends.
Lead the effort to achieve LEED Gold certification for the project.
Develop and implement strategies to meet LEED requirements, including sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure LEED standards are integrated into project design and construction practices.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards relevant to the project.
Develop and maintain environmental management systems to track and report on compliance status.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the project in environmental audits and inspections.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Saudi Arabian environmental laws and regulations, and ensure the project adheres to these requirements.
Communicate sustainability goals, progress, and achievements to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other communication channels.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field;
Minimum of 10 years of experience with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful environmental programs.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Extensive experience with LEED Gold certification processes and construction practices.
Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian environmental regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly in the context of infrastructure projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in environmental reporting frameworks and tools.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
