Asst Service Manager - Memphis - Military Veterans

Stribling Equipment is one of the largest John Deere Dealerships selling new and used construction, compaction, forestry, and concrete equipment in Mississippi, West Tennessee, and Arkansas. We also provide parts and services, rental equipment, and training services. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Service Manager to support our team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain schedule of shop and fieldwork
- Assign personnel to specific work orders and provide resources that will assist Service Technicians in repairing customer's equipment.
- Supervise the opening, updating, and closing of repair/work orders for the shop and field.
- Plan assistance and accomplishment of key performance goals and objectives
- Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability
- Maintain and monitor detailed records of repair orders, and other required data including but not limited to D.O.T requirements, payroll information, and asset service records.
- Administer product improvement programs from John Deere for machines assigned to the branch operation.
- Order and maintain needed shop and field service supplies
- Ensure customer satisfaction through phone calls and on-site visits if needed
- Coordinate with our corporate team to remain informed and current on John Deere programs, warranties, and machine specifications
- Monitor technical and training assignments, coordinate work schedules to promote training accomplishment, and report training accomplished to the service team
- Inspect and enter data for internal machines as well as customer machines
- Machine monitoring & required action for machines assigned to the branch operation

Requirements
- An Associate or Bachelor's Degree in applicable fields such as Business Administration, Agriculture Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Construction Management, Forest Resource Management, etc. is required; experience may be considered instead of education
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in the Agricultural or Construction Industry is highly preferred
- Having previous experience in a leadership or supervisory position is beneficial
- Proficient with computers and software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based programs
- Valid Driver's License with clean MVR
