Position Summary The Communications Coordinator will collaborate with communications staff to coordinate, develop and/or write communications for print and/or digital communications, including emails, newsletters, website, print materials, and event signage. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Contributes to development and implementation of marketing and communications plans for department/school. Builds email and mailing distributions lists and support maintenance of database system. Proofreads/edits materials and check adherence to university standards prior to production. Collaborates on development of communications and marketing materials. Supports department/school by convening meetings, working to refine programs and schedules for events, developing draft agendas and following up on needed actions. Serves as a central resource to coordinate event details, including logistics, speaker outreach, event communications, registration and more. Works as part of WashU team and in partnerships with local organizations to effectively communicate programs and initiatives with other partners. Assists in organizing meetings, drafting materials, following up with partners and working with vendors on production of final materials. Performs other duties as assigned. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
