Job Summary

STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in Ridgeland, South Carolina to lead and oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in industrial electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and crane/hoist repairs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a team effectively, and ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and TICO standards.
  
  
• Obtain forklift certification and oversee safe operation within the team.
  
  
• Operate and oversee the use of advanced hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
  
  
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
  
  
• Obtain certification for lift platforms such as scissor lifts and snorkel lifts, ensuring team members are trained as required.
  
  
• Utilize measuring devices for precise maintenance tasks.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including 120v/220v/480v circuits and 3-phase systems.
  
  
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs as needed.
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to guide maintenance activities.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations at all levels.
  
  
• Diagnose and repair cranes and hoists using advanced techniques.
  
  
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  
  
• Communicate with managers, team members, and other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts.
  
  
• Manage maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines.
  
  
• Use computer programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Paycor, and FIIX for communication and maintenance tracking.
  
  
• Maintain the FIIX program to manage and track daily work orders.
  
  
• Train, evaluate, and discipline maintenance staff according to company standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  
  
• Proficiency in industrial electrical systems, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
  
  
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  
  
• In-depth understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
  
  
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with electrical components and systems.
  
  
• Experience in maintenance management and team supervision.
  
  
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication.
  
  
• Ability to determine material needs and submit procurement requests.
  
  
• Familiarity with maintenance tracking software such as FIIX.
  
  

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
  
• Previous experience in a maintenance leadership role preferred.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Work may require long periods in non-climate-controlled environments.
  
  
• PPE is required on production floors, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and vests.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, sit, stand, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
