Field Service Technician Combustion Systems
Location: Flexible Any location within the United States
Travel: Up to 75% (primarily within the U.S., with occasional international travel)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing complex combustion systems at customer sites. You will work independently in industrial environments, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities





  • Perform start-ups, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairs of combustion systems.


  • Conduct instrument loop checks and system safety inspections.


  • Provide on-site customer training on system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.


  • Maintain accurate documentation, including job reports, service logs, expense reports, and billing records.


  • Arrange travel logistics, including flights, hotels, and car rentals.


  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.


  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, updating technical documentation and providing feedback to engineering teams.


  • Represent Honeywell at industry events, delivering technical presentations when required.


  • Travel up to 75% on a short notice anywhere in the US and occasionally internationally.




Physical & Work Requirements





  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.


  • Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and navigating industrial environments.


  • Ability to use basic hand tools and electrical test equipment.


  • Adaptability to various working conditions, including hot, cold, noisy, and dusty environments.


  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on customer needs.


  • Typical assignments range from one day to three weeks, with occasional extended stays.




COMPENSATION OVERVIEW

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Illinois, Vermont is $63,300-$90,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $79,900 - $110,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE





  • High School Diploma or GED.


  • 5+ years of field service experience in combustion systems, industrial control, or boiler systems.


  • Valid Drivers license and acceptable driving record.




WE VALUE





  • Technical or professional certification in a relevant field.


  • Experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, or process control.


  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.


  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
