Global Real Estate Strategy is a strategic corporate function that serves Our Company's global business units, including Manufacturing, Commercial, Technical Operations, Research and Development, and Corporate Units, by identifying and executing creative and innovative real estate and workplace solutions in alignment with corporate strategy.

Our Global Real Estate Workplace Strategy team in North America is looking for a dedicated and motivated Workplace strategist to join and contribute to our mission of fostering a data-led culture.

Joining the Workplace Strategy team at our Company means playing a pivotal role in shaping our global vision for the future of workspaces and collaboration. Your contribution is essential in guiding our organization toward innovative and supportive ways of working. Your role is crucial in defining the future of our work environment and fostering connectivity among our teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert for our Workplace Strategy team, combining headcount forecast data, design trends, space planning, and occupancy planning to support the organization's workplace strategy.
  • Deliver workplace innovation projects, organize resources, meet with client leadership and other client representatives, conduct interviews, run workshops, conduct and analyze surveys, and gather, analyze, and summarize data in easy-to-understand presentations.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, articulate challenges, and demonstrate how the workplace and portfolio strategy can address them.
  • Monitors and tracks space and occupancy trends based on local headcount forecasting, business org changes and space requirements.
  • Summarize data and create presentations for visible projects for a broad range audience (senior leadership - local teams)
  • Liaise and build relationships with local/regional site business leads to ensure that business allocation, adjacency, and workplace plans meet our headcount forecasting and understand how our colleagues' work and space are used.
  • Closely partner with colleagues from Facilities, HR, AV and IT to develop workplace strategy recommendations, workspace plans, and pilots specific to a region to support new ways of working.
  • Keep current with emerging trends and insights about workplace strategy, design, and standard processes.


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, or architectural engineering or related field.


Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in workplace strategy.
  • Solutions-focused experience focusing on influencing and engaging customers proactively, along with the ability to communicate clearly to explain design and space opportunities to non-technical individuals.
  • A background in making and rationalizing workspace design and allocation decisions, moves with recognition of risks and opportunities of decisions, and a track record of recognizing risks.
  • Excellent understanding of current best practices and trends in the workplace and strategic design consultancy.
  • Experience in space management, including forecasting and planning future demand.
  • Good storytelling and graphic presentation skills (In-Design, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Excellent skills in interpreting and presenting data in PowerPoint, excel, word and social media.
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Strong data analytical skills and the ability to distinguish emerging themes from data and research material to present them innovatively, visually, and concisely.
  • Excellent research, data analysis and report-writing capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and working with numerical data.
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding floor plans and workspace design.
  • Ability to be effective while working independently and within a team environment.


Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Architect background
  • Experience taking complex data and presenting a visual story in PowerPoint
  • Project Management skills

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:
$126,500.00 - $199,100.00
