Summary: The incumbent plays an essential role in the company's Division Technical operations group. Provides technical expertise to Asset Operating Teams to keep plants, pipeline and compressor station equipment, liquid pump stations and pipelines safe, available, and efficient. Works with division technical team members to insure operations and maintenance activities are consistent across Area boundaries within the division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Process Control Systems for LNG regas facility.
  • Responsible for the scoping, development, equipment specifications and execution of O&M and Capital projects.
  • Oversee the planning of and provide Controls, Electronics & Instrumentation discipline training.
  • Investigate, analyze, and make recommendations related to effectiveness and/or efficiency of presently installed and proposed equipment.
  • Oversee maintenance of all control systems, failsafe controllers and fire detection systems.
  • Serve as a Controls and electrical Subject Matter Expert in Management of Change (MOC) project reviews. Verify that projects will meet applicable codes/regulations, plant standards, corporate standards, and safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the review and update of P&IDs, Standard Operating Procedures, Maintenance Procedures, Technical Procedures, and Instrumentation and Electrical drawings.
  • Manage service contracts with equipment manufacturers and provide a yearly review of the budget and services that each has provided.
  • Assist Maintenance Technicians with troubleshooting of PLCs, Distributive Control System, Safety System, Fire & Gas System, Electrical Systems, and Mechanical Equipment.

Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • Associates degree preferred.
Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and background to be SME for instrumentation & electrical control systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company procedures and Industry-related standards, codes and practices, and applicable Federal and State regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Strong ability to work meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong computer and application skills.
  • Have or be able to obtain TWIC card.

  • Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions
  • Working conditions may include confined spaces
  • Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, and climbing ladders up to 25 feet. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
  • Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Reliable attendance at work
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
