Job Description1. Strategic Enrollment LeadershipDevelop and implement a comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Management Plan aligned with the university?s mission and Winona State 2035 vision.Utilize data analytics to inform enrollment and marketing strategies and forecast trends.Chair the Enrollment Management All-University Committee and convene cross-functional teams to align recruitment, retention, and student success efforts.2. Division Oversight Provide leadership and guidance to all units within the Enrollment Management and Student Success division, including Admissions, Warrior Hub (Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, Registrar?s Office), Marketing and Communications, Adult and Continuing Education and the Warrior Success Center.Foster collaboration among units to create a seamless student experience from recruitment through graduation.3. Recruitment and Retention StrategiesOversee initiatives to attract, support, and retain diverse student populations, including adult learners, international students, and first-generation students.Partner with the Vice President for Academic Affairs to support student learning and development initiatives.Partner with the Vice President for Student Life and Development/Dean of Students to support student retention initiatives.Advocate for and support special sessions as a strategic tool to enhance student success, accelerate degree completion, and drive overall annual enrollment growth.Develop and implement targeted strategies to recruit and retain transfer students, recognizing their growing importance to enrollment and ensuring seamless transfer pathways, robust academic support, and tailored onboarding programs.Leverage non-traditional and innovative educational credentials?such as badges, micro-credentials, and credit for prior learning?as powerful recruitment tools that attract diverse learners, create flexible pathways, and enhance career advancement opportunities.4. Compliance and Data-Driven Decision Making Partner with Institutional Planning and Research to assess enrollment data, identify trends, and report on progress toward institutional goals.Provide leadership in marketing and recruitment decision-making by setting data tracking expectations and leveraging analytics from Salesforce, paid advertising, and website performance. Interpret engagement metrics and collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to refine strategies and optimize outreach efforts based on data-driven insights.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies related to enrollment and student success.5, Budget and Resource Management Develop and manage the division?s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support strategic goals.Secure external funding and partnerships to enhance student success initiatives.6. Campus and Community Engagement Serve as a visible advocate for student success, representing the university at local, state, and national events.Build partnerships with community organizations, K-12 schools, and two-year community and/or technical colleges to strengthen pathways to higher education.7. Institutional LeadershipParticipate in the management of the University as a member of the President?s Cabinet and Council of Administrators.Participate in institutional planning, policy making, and leadership of the university.Provide leadership and vision for Winona State Enrollment and Student Success and effectively communicate that vision to the university and the Winona and Rochester communities.8. Other Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned by the President to advance the mission of the university.Minimum Qualifications:Master?s degree in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field. Note: Significant professional achievements demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.A minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in enrollment management, student success, marketing and communications, or a related area within higher education.Demonstrated success in leading strategic enrollment initiatives, including recruitment, retention, and graduation strategies for diverse student populations.Preferred QualificationA doctoral degree is preferredProven expertise in strategic enrollment management, including data-driven decision-making and predictive analytics.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience addressing barriers to student access and success.Knowledge of current trends in higher education, including demographic shifts, market challenges, emerging best practices in student support, and standards and best practices for marketing and communications.Experience with budget development and financial stewardship within a complex organizational structure.Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, student information systems (SIS), and other enrollment technologies.Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.Knowledge of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities policies and the collective bargaining process is preferred.Other RequirementsA complete online application will include the following:1.
