Metrology personnel in RSA's Quality Department monitor and analyze large amounts of testing data to ensure calibration systems and instruments are performing consistently to required standards. Similar monitoring and analysis may be requested by customers when customer equipment has been repaired, serviced, or calibrated. Transforming raw data output files from automated calibration systems into suitable formats for analysis and the analysis computations themselves is time consuming. This internship is to develop tools to reduce and refine the analysis and reporting process thereby improving service to our customers and reduce internal costs.
Your tasks

Develop software-based methods to format special presentations of measurement results
Assist in the development of automated solutions to document various quality metrics
Develop automated methods to perform reliability analyses on TMDE
Refine processes to analyze reviews of Calibration documentation
Develop a dashboard providing real-time quality related data to Service department personnel
Perform other duties as assigned by Quality and/or Metrology

Rising Jr or Sr year in Computer Science, or related engineering field of study
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Summer resident of the greater Columbia, MD area. We are unable to provide housing or relocation for summer interns

This is an hourly position, paying $22-$27/hour, minimum of 30 hours per week.
