Government Property Supervisor - Military Veterans

Position Overview:
The Government Property Supervisor is responsible for overseeing government property operations and personnel within assigned areas, ensuring full compliance with LOGCAP contract requirements, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS). This role involves managing the receipt, tracking, usage, and disposition of government property and may include oversight of the Area Property Book of Record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise government property operations and assigned personnel to ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Property Control Practices/Systems to meet compliance standards.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, asset tracking, and reporting, including physical inventory verification, Loss Damage/Destruction (LDD) reports, DD 1149 (Transfer/Surplus), and annual DD1662 (Property in Contractor's Possession) reports.
- Support and maintain satisfactory or higher Federal government audit ratings within assigned operations units.
- Train and develop subordinate staff to ensure compliance with contractual, operational, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit timely reports related to government property management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 7 to 10 years of related experience in government property management.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- NPMA certification (CPPA/CPPM) preferred.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and specialized property management applications.
- Experience in compliance assurance, asset tracking, and reporting within a government contracting environment.
This position is critical in ensuring efficient property management and compliance within government-regulated operations in Djibouti.
